"A home opened up to us, a ministry home that somebody let us use for a year and a half for free.  And so, people that would get help would come and we formed a little community together, just kind of like a microcosm of what we want to do on a larger scale. And it became their house and they would come for ministry, but then they would form a community together of people who were learning to connect again in JOY​!"

​​Creative expression and beauty are agents of healing as well. As an expression of our gratitude, we refurbished both the outside and the inside of the home. We had community work days and everyone's talents were expressed. One of our out of state guests stayed in the attached apartment and led

the way; when she was not in an intensive ministry session, she was painting and landscaping. We decorated with yard sale finds and 'thrown to the curb' items that were lovingly reclaimed and redeemed! This will continue to be a part of the cottage industry for us as we relocate to the bigger property.
